Danelectro Overdrive Pedal Review

In this review, I’m going to be checking out the Danelectro Cool Cat Series CTO-1 Transparent Overdrive pedal for the guitar. This is a really great pedal and it performs like a pedal 3 times its price (You can find it new on EBay for around 20-30 bucks). The CTO-1 has a pretty solid construction. It has a metal casing, and also metal jacks. It felt sturdy when I played it, and the foot switch seemed very responsive. It has control knobs for volume, treble/bass and gain. A nice feature of these knobs is that they are out of the way when playing, because they are located on the top of the pedal, as opposed to the front. This pedal does a great job at delivering classic, warm over driven tones, without sacrificing any of the natural tones... more
